But, as you say, there are many smaller search engines and directories out there. They are worth submitting to because it takes little effort and you never know, it may result in some traffic or higher rankings.</description>

But there are many websites out there that subscribe your URL to many free search engines (for free), no longer the hassle we were going through some while back, where it was taking days or weeks to have our websites submitted in search engines and/or directories. And of course, as minor or as unknown some search engines are, they’re still valuable for your site’s popularity. And one must never forget, applying the basic SEO is always best and still the strongest way of getting your site ranked better in keywords and content. Well, I won’t get in too many details about SEO, this isn’t the proper category :)
