Snap Web Page Previews

When you hover over an external link on this site, you’ll see a website preview appear.

This is a free service called ‘Snap Preview Anywhere’ provided by the Snap search engine (see the search engines page in the directory for more info about Snap). All you have to do is include a small bit of javascript in the header of your pages and voila, you get instant site previews.

New Version of AVG Anti Virus

Nothing to do with search engine optimisation, but essential to any internet user: AVG have released a new version of their free anti-virus software.

You can download it here.

This link was a little bit hidden in the reminder they sent, because the emphasis is on the full version which you have to pay for. But the free version is fine for me. I’ve had a couple of virus problems that it has dealt with very efficiently, so I’m sticking with it.
