A little while ago I posted about Google Webmaster Tools and how good it is to get link data straight from the horses mouth.

However, one problem with the tools are that they don’t show the anchor text or PageRank of the links pointing to a site, which is very important information when analysing your backlinks.

This great extension for Firefox by Joost de Valk fixes this flaw. It adds the PR and anchor text to the link information provided by Google Webmaster Tools. You can find it on his blog http://www.joostdevalk.nl/code/greasemonkey/gwt-external-links/.

It requires the Greasmonkey extension.

This bookmarklet allows you to search Google for supplemental results for the site you are currently browsing (see the Supplemental Results definition in the SEO glossary).

Drag the following link to your toolbar (Firefox) or right click and add to your bookmarks or favourites: Google Supp Pages

This number compared to the total number of pages cached by Google (using the advanced search query site:www.somedomain.com – see this bookmarklet) gives an indication of the overall quality of the site. Check out this post on Aaron Wall’s SEOBook.com.

Supplemental results are a complex issue, but basically pages should be in Google’s main index if you are going to get any search traffic from them.

If you are viewing the root domain of the site (e.g. http://www.domainname.com), the bookmarklet will show all the pages within the domain that are included in Google. If you use the bookmarklet when you are viewing a sub page, it will only show if that page is indexed.
