This bookmarklet sends the URL of the webpage you are currently viewing to Yahoo Site Explorer and displays the number of incoming links (backlinks) to the page. By default it excludes internal links within the domain, but you can change that once you are on the Yahoo Site Explorer page.

To use, drag the following link into your bookmarks or favourites: Yahoo Inlinks, then click on it when you want to see the inlinks for the page you are viewing.

This is a useful bookmarklet that I use when submitting to directories, looking for link exchanges and checking my own site. A Bookmarklet is a little snippet of javascript which you can add to your browser in the form of a bookmark (Firefox) or favourite (Explorer).

It requests the cached page in Google for the web page you are currently viewing. Useful to check if the web page has been crawled by Google and when it was last crawled.
