An Easy Source of Cheap High PageRank Links

That’s what we all want right? One possible source is links from Word cloud sites.

Of course, as with most things in life you get what you pay for and most SEO experts would say that Word Cloud sites provide a low quality link because:

  • Most are just a page of links with no content.
  • There are often hundreds of links on a page.
  • Some could be considered ‘bad’ link neighborhoods.
  • Many are on dropped domains.
  • Sometimes the PageRank (PR) they display is not valid.
  • They are usually unrelated to the sites they link to.

However, everyone knows that PR is important for ranking in Google and if that’s all you are interested in, you can get a link on a PR4, 5 or 6 Word Cloud site cheaply, quickly and easily.

I posted a list of Word Cloud sites back in January, and have had another look to see if how PR and prices had changed. Here are a few of the better ones (in terms of PR and price):

Note, all I have checked is the Google Toolbar PR and price. It’s up to you to check if the PR is valid and if the sites are active.

Top 100 Word Cloud Sites

In a previous post I mentioned how you can get high page rank links from Word Cloud Sites.

I’ve revised my list with updated PageRank (verified using seologs fake pagerank detection tool) and included other factors such as the number of links pointing to the site (using Yahoo site explorer), when it was last cached by Google and the cost. Some have few quality links pointing to them and are ridiculously priced, but a few of the cheaper ones might be worth a go.

Of course, there are other factors to take into account such as relevance and number of links on the page, but anyway, here’s the top 100 word cloud sites I’ve found (ordered by PageRank).

Cheap High PageRank One-Way Links

One way of obtaining cheap, high PageRank one-way links to your site is to buy keywords on word cloud sites.

These sites are a bit of a fad which have sprung up as ‘get rich quick’ schemes following the launch of 500words.com (which in turn followed the the Million Dollar Homepage).

Are links from these types of sites good quality? It’s debatable. By definition there are loads of links on these pages and not much content. On the other hand, if you can find a word cloud site in your niche, it could be a very valuable link. At the very least, they can provide a bit of PageRank juice.

The cost of these links vary wildly from a reasonable few dollars to the ridiculous - $100 dollars and more. Value wise, the cheaper ones are comparable to a featured listing in a newish directory, but you generally get more PageRank. You can pay extra to add text formatting to your link and make it stand out on the page, but this is only worth doing if your site is related to SEO and you want to attract the users of a word cloud site to your site.

A couple of things to look out for are whether you can choose your own keywords and how long your link will remain on the site - many of them say it will stay for 1 year or something similar, but don’t say when that period started! (Once a word cloud is full, how long is it going to stay up and not making money?)

Anyhow, here are some of the higher PageRank word cloud sites. I’ve confirmed their PageRank at SEOlogs.com using their Fake PageRank Detection tool (you can’t be too careful) and listed basic prices. Check them out and make your own decisions.
